The drawing above is one of my favourites.
It shows the view from the Southbank, looking over the Yarra river and the Princes bridge.
On the left is the Flinders Street Station, while on the right is St. Pauls cathederal. The Town hall shows in the distance.

The boat is the ElizabethAnne1, built in 1915.

The Melbourne General Post Office, on the corner of Bourke and Elizabeth Streets.This is the view up Bourke street.
The building dates from the 1860's.

The Forum, Flinders Street, Melbourne

The drawing above shows the old State Theatre, in Flinders Street, Melbourne. It was built in 1928 and is now known as "The Forum".

The drawing above shows the Princess Theatre, in Spring street.. It was built in 1886 and restored in the 1920's It is a very flamboyant building, finished off with Gold statues and lots of fine details. It reflects the vitality of the last years of the Victorian era.
It is 100 by 150 mm and is available as a limited edition, signed and numbered giclee print on heavyweight etching paper .

The Regent Theatre, Collins street.

This landmark was built in 1929 to the design of
Cedric Ballantyne. It burned down in 1945, was rebuilt
and subsequently restored again in 1994 .It is noted
for its magnificent decor, which borrows
from many styles.

The drawing was done to celebrate the opening of
the production "Wicked" on July12th 2008.
